Rightmove reports a 19% increase, year on year, of valuation requests in November
2021 was a year where property demand was constantly outstripping the number of available properties, however, the emerging data from Rightmove seems to show an increase in valuation requests which in turn could lead to a more balanced market in 2022.
Of course, most of these valuation requests are probably from homeowners looking to sell in the New Year, so December will probably, as ever, remain a slow month, which doesn't mean you, as an agent, can't be proactive.
Keep a list of each valuation request and prioritise which ones to chase come the new year. Or even see if you can get a contract signed early and photos taken, without Christmas decorations if possible, so you can simply put them live just in time for the Boxing Day Boom!
