Do your clients know about the reduced rates from the 1st July till the end of September?
The property market is still massively busy, with the biggest increase in house prices for years, and it doesn’t look like it is going to slow down anytime soon, even when the Stamp Duty Holiday ends at the end of the month.
In fact, from the 1st July till the 30th September, there are still reduced rates in place. There will be no stamp duty on the first £250k, then just 5% from £250k to £925k followed by 10% on £925k to £1.5million and 12% above £1.5million. Are your potential buyers and sellers aware about the reduced rates?
And with 5% mortgages currently available, there should still be a huge number of buyers still looking, especially with people’s new wish lists including more garden space, home offices and the ability for lots of people to no longer live near their work offices.
